The “problem” with common-sense solutions such as this is that they simply remove religion from the public square: and it is the goal of the Religious Right to impose their religious beliefs on everyone via legislation. So they (the common-sense solutions) will be fought tooth-and-nail.
One of the nice things about being a pundit instead of a politician…is I get to leave the feasibility to them
You’re right, it probably won’t work, but it’s a good litmus test for a real conservative
